Inspired by the power of human connection, I began a new project on January 1, 2020. The idea was that each week of the year, I would bring a new human being into my network. For every person, I would create a visual and written representation of them and share on Instagram. However, 2020 proved to be different than any of us expected, so the project had to change too.
With stay-at-home orders and social distancing, I couldn’t be out meeting new people the way I had anticipated. So I pivoted and got a little conceptual. At home in my apartment I haven’t been meeting anyone new, but I have been coming into touch with new and different parts of myself. I’m excited by the discoveries I’ve made.
